Tiepoint is a young company built on a proud legacy, positioned to make a difference.

Our company was established when Andøya Space Unmanned was spun off from Andøya Space to form a new joint venture with Sundt Air. Bringing together extensive experience in both manned and unmanned aviation, we are leading experts in surveillance and emergency operations.

At the heart of Tiepoint is a team that combines operational aviation experience with expertise in drone technology, regulatory compliance, safety, artificial intelligence and data analysis. Together, we plan and execute complex operations in demanding environments, with particular experience in maritime and offshore operations, oil spill response and emergency preparedness.

Working closely with customers and partners in Norway and internationally, we turn advanced technology and operational experience into reliable capabilities for critical missions.

Andøya Space

Andøya Space is a Norwegian aerospace company with more than six decades of experience. From two Arctic launch sites, its work spans sounding rockets, scientific balloons, atmospheric research, defence testing, space education and orbital launch services. In September 2026, Andøya Space provided the launch infrastructure and operational support for Isar Aerospace’s historic Spectrum mission, which successfully deployed satellites into orbit.

As a founding partner in Tiepoint, Andøya Space contributes extensive experience in advanced operations, technology development and safety. Its expertise strengthens Tiepoint’s ability to develop reliable solutions for demanding aviation operations.

Sundt Air

Sundt Air is a Norwegian aviation company with decades of experience in aircraft operations, maintenance and modification. Its Special Missions team delivers advanced capabilities for flight inspection, airborne surveillance and remote sensing, including maritime surveillance and pollution control. Together with the wider Sundt Group, the team combines system design, aircraft modification, certification and mission operations to deliver complete special mission solutions.

As a founding partner in Tiepoint, Sundt Air contributes proven expertise in manned aviation, mission systems and complex airborne operations. This knowledge strengthens Tiepoint’s ability to combine aircraft, sensors, data and operational expertise into reliable capabilities for demanding missions.

2007

  • Start of drone operations for Andøya Space.
  • The Cruiser 2 represented pioneering work in BVLOS operations, achieving missions of up to 8 hours and 800 kilometres.
